Running

Yesterday I ran my first ever 10k. I was a bit reluctant about it for several reasons. First, since I hadn't set any time at an official competition I had to start from the back, this meant that there would be people in front of me that would run slower than me, and I always get anxious inside crowds. Second, it was a road race and I'm used to mixed surfaces since I mostly do trail (thanks to my dad who takes me for long runs around the countryside).

In the end, all my fears ended up being completely erased. I had one of the best times in my running life. I felt awesome running and I could control my running pace most of the time. It is true that I had to overtake lots of people during the whole race, but since I had my music on I didn't get too stressed out, actually there were some moments when I was singing along with the music and "playing" drums. And I ended up setting a mark of 54 minutes 31 seconds, which is, I think, pretty good.

Here you have a post-10k picture of me where you can see how happy I was.
